Earlier this week, I shared this message about my second half of 2024.
6 reasons I’m excited about the 2nd half of the year
It’s hard to believe the first half of 2024 has come and gone. We can choose to look at this milestone as a glass half empty or one that is half full.
I’m going for the half-full view because there are so many great things on the backside of the year for me, personally and professionally.
Here’s why I’m excited:
1. My husband and I decided it was time to make our primary home location in a beach community, so we move to Lewes, DE at the end of this month.
2. The 2nd workshop series for Maximize Your Competitive Advantage - People and Leadership is coming up next week. Don’t miss out!
3. The next cohort of The Fire Circle will kick off in September. I’m excited to bring together 6-8 organizational leaders to finish out the year and start the new year together. The focus will be on leading well in an environment where expectations have shifted, the complexity has increased, and the pace never seems to slow down.
4. The Compass Solution continues to add new organizational clients who want to focus on ensuring they align their business strategy with their people strategy, that the talent investments they are making will achieve the impact they expect, and that they are leading themselves and their organization intentionally.
5. I have a goal to do more speaking events – conferences, podcasts, webinars, etc. so I’m looking forward to those opportunities to share my thoughts on a few topics:
Loving your life and career
Taking leaps of faith
Leadership as an endurance sport
Success, priorities, and boundaries
6. A few months ago, I added the goal of getting an article published to my 2024 list. I’ve started working on that article and am getting coaching from Erica Holthausen to make this dream a reality.
