The power of the pause

pause

This week has included many conversations about busyness, planning, and the power of the pause.  When was the last time you carved out time to reflect on how things are going?

In a conversation with a former colleague who is between jobs right now, they shared how differently they feel now and how that's impacting their search for the next thing.

Another colleague shared that since they shifted their work, their family is noticing a shift in how they show up as a result of the reduced stress level.

In my fireside chat this week, another person shared that they're getting the work done but not necessarily focused on the most impactful items.

We get so focused on getting things done (our culture values productivity), that we often forget that we are most impactful if we're making time to plan and reflect, not just do.

I encourage you to find time this week to pause and ask yourself, "how's it going; what's working; what's not working; and am I still going in the right direction."
