Celebrating 4 Years of Opportunity

Four years ago tomorrow (October 1st), I officially launched Crim Dell Consulting, LLC (now Canopy Strategies) and many of you have been loyal subscribers, clients, and referral partners since the start of this journey.  For those of you who were not part of the early days, I started this journey so that I could focus on the parts of my corporate experiences that I loved the most and where I thought I had the most to offer:  advising, creating, and implementing people strategies and coaching leaders on how they could best lead themselves and others.

The good news is…those desires haven't changed.  That is the work I still love to do.  What has evolved along the way is how I support people through services and offerings and adding the component of sharing my perspectives through posts, newsletters, books, podcasts and speaking opportunities.

I've heard a few people say that becoming a business owner carries some of the biggest personal growth lessons around, vying closely with marriages and parenting.  This has definitely been my experience.   Here are three things that I've learned and continue to learn:

📓The more open and vulnerable I am about my experiences, the greater my ability to be relatable to the people I aim to serve. This applies I think for all leaders.

📓When I am confident in the value I can provide, I better serve my clients.  This applies for all of us…the more confident we are in our competence, the more likely we are to create the impact we desire.

📓It's ok to try things and then decide they aren't really the right things. We need to be willing to experiment so that we can grow.  But quitting them if they don't serve our purposes is ok, and, often the right thing.

As I head into year 5 of this business journey, I look forward to continuing to serve all of you through writing, speaking, coaching, and advisory services.

Thank you for being on this journey with me.
